A Special Note from Laddie

Friends -
It has been a little over a week since you all surprised me with a 50 Year of Coaching Celebration. The overwhelming feelings of appreciation and love that I experienced when I walked into the Staples Cafeteria are still being felt today. Words can not possibly express how I felt or my gratitude for you all being there to celebrate with me. It was wonderful to see so many of you. I only regret that I did not have the opportunity to talk to each one of you individually and get caught up on your lives since your track days at Staples. Since time did not permit it, I also regret not having the opportunity to tell a personal story about each of you. Believe me, I have a story about each of you. I wish to express my thanks to the committee who planned and organized this event, especially to Katie. She, along with the committee, did an outstanding job on keeping this as a surprise. Katie has always been absolute in her support of me and my career, even during some of the horrific health issues that she has had to endure. It is because of her that I have been able to be there for you. Once again, thank you for sharing your time and stories with me. I am forever grateful that you have allowed me to either coach you or your child. I'm looking forward to continue for another fifty years, or at least for a few years more.
